The Tap Roots take basic turns that can attack including allowing their growth to grow and recede to eventually Strangle Heroes. Heroes will face the Tap Root in the General's Keep Lair once they come across the Dreaming General mini-boss.Players should be aware that these enemies can receive stat and combat bonuses should the Torch Flame reach a low point. Enemies in Darkest Dungeon consist of different types of creatures and enemy types, with their own set of stats and Skills. They are the main antagonists of the Heroes that they will have to fight off and defeat to progress and gain Mastery Points and treasures that will benefit the Party and reduce Loathing. Enemies are opponents that will be encountered throughout the game during Combat stops while traveling on the Stagecoach.
